12 OZ WHOLE BEAN COFFEE
A super flavorful followup to our strawberry offering, Peach Mirth is fruity, floral, and exotic; it's a great example that coffee can taste like so much more than the traditional flavors of chocolate, nuts, and caramel. We encourage you to share it with friends, family, and coffee-skeptics. We enjoy it on pour-over and as an iced coffee!
Mirth is our line of experimental co-fermented coffees. Although it may sounds strange, rest assured that all coffee is fermented at some point in its journey from farm to cup. This fermentation happens when the coffee still looks like a fruit, and less like a brown bean, and can contribute to flavor development and aid the removal of fruit flesh and sticky mucilage. In the case of co-fermentation, the coffee is fermented along with other inclusions (in this case, peaches and wine-industry yeast).
This coffee is also honey processed, which means some of the sticky fruit flesh known as mucilage is left on the beans when drying. It's a popular processing method popularized in Costa Rica, and now practiced the world over.
This is a great coffee to break out on a special occasion (or to convert that stubborn friend who says they don't like coffee). It's delicious black, but with some cream and sugar becomes positively confectionary.
