Our Mission
At Those Guys Coffee Co., we believe that great coffee should come without the fuss—just pure quality, care, and respect for everyone involved in the process. Our mission is simple: to provide the highest quality coffee while ensuring ethical sourcing and sustainability. From farmers to baristas to coffee lovers, we want every person in the supply chain to feel valued and appreciated.
Our Story
Founded in 2019 by Victor Tomasso and Parker Gregory Shpak, Those Guys Coffee Co. started with a passion for exceptional coffee and a commitment towards making it accessible to all.
Parker started in the coffee industry in 2013, and spent 10 years as a full time barista before roasting full-time. He completed the now-defunct Coffee Master Program at Starbucks, and competed in their first two National Barista Championships. In the time since he has deepened his appreciation for the entire scope of the coffee industry, and spends much of his free time staying informed on the latest trends, science, and news in the coffee world.
Victor opened Dom’s Coffee (Avon, CT) with his wife in 2015. Dom’s went on to become one of the most popular cafes in the state. With a background in aircraft mechanics, Victor was interested in the technical side of coffee, and began looking into roasting.
In 2018, Victor and Parker joined together with loose plans to found a roasting company. They attended the SCA-Certified Academy of Coffee Excellence in Williamsburg, VA, where they achieved certificates in Green Coffee Analysis and Roasting.
In 2019 Those Guys Coffee Co. was born. After spending a couple long years working part time on developing roasts, blends, and a creative vision, the company began selling coffee in 2021. Since then, the focus has been on sustainable and responsible growth.
